Week 6 - Summertime in the City

This is a picture of my L.A. apartment on move-out day this past June... The place had high ceilings with equally tall windows, allowing for lots of sunlight to shine through, especially in the summertime. I generally did not prefer to open my blinds 100% because of the glare and the sun's heat…and also, it meant that creepy neighbors could see into my abode. HOWEVER, on this particular day, feeling nostalgic, I loved how the natural light lit up the apartment. It was warm and cozy and gave me this sense of openness and freedom.

  1. Light definitely has a way of tying into our memories! We remember things with light, which I find fascinating. It's how we know we're all designers, because whether we like it or not, we are designing our memories. :) It's neat you were able to catch a picture!

  2. I really like the first picture, the light slowly spilling in really does have a nostalgic feel to it. Sort of how the memory slowly starts coming back. Great pictures!
