Checked this out the other morning.
Apparently the corner glass on my roomate's fish tank acts as a prism, separating out the light shining into it into different wavelengths, and creating a tiny rainbow on my living room wall. Hooray.
I just thought it was cute. Such a small piece of something we often think of as grand and stretching across the skies. Light does some very fun things when it passes from one medium to another, many tricks of the light due to this caused myths and legends in the days I'm sure. People seeing manatees as mermaids and whatnot. Sight is a peculiar perception that I don't know I have ever or will ever fully understand or experience.
Awesome photo! Interesting to think about the effects that light and weather (and sailors being stranded for god knows how long longing for land) have on the human mind/perceptions. Light has been confusing us and inspiring us for thousands and thousands of years. I enjoy that bit.
